I found when working full time that the best time to be productive was after everyone had left the office at 5.00 pm. You will certainly feel more work orientated whilst working in an office and as you say more productive.

During the coming weeks it will feel strange and you will have a need to adjust to the new working pratice if you have been in the habit whilst at home of looking at the business. The danger will be when in the office and you reach a time that you should leave that you will say I will just do this one more item and then go home.

I’ve been contemplating getting an office for a while now, but keep thinking that it’s better to pay towards the house payment rather than pay the rent on the office. And then I thought I should buy an office (as an investment) as the payments would be just a bit more than renting, but I keep procrastinating…

The interruptions at home are very disruptive with the Wife thinking I’m always available for a quick chat or to put the bin out, pick up kids, get some milk from the shops, etc. I love her dearly :) but you know the story!

But at what stage should you take that step and move into an office. I said that when I was making a net profit of $4k/month I would do it… I reached that goal but then I said I would do it when I made $4k/month for 3 months in a row. I know when I go out and do it I’ll regret not doing it earlier.

So, John when is the right time?

John have the desire to succeed and he did, what a great story about you John, I know that here on the other side of the screen, are a bunch of us following your steps and one day we all will get an office is that is what we want, in my case I have a four bedroom house and three of them are empty so just me and my wife at home, no need for an office at this point, later? who knows, I know that thia is still one more step for John, he will be doing even better in the near future, congratulations John!
