there really is some great information here. It was not until I started to create my own stuff that I saw all the possibilities available. creating was a bit daunting, but the sales process is the real challenge for me.

Great post as per usual, as someone who is building their own business this is one of the key lessons that I’ve had to embrace and challenge myself with.

The idea of creating a product for other people to learn from can be daunting, but the key benefits listed here make it clear why it is something every succesfull internet marketer needs to do.

Great post Brian. I myself consider myself to somewhat of a kind of ‘educated newbie’ / ‘Digital product creator wannabe’. Like a lot of people starting out I just ‘haven’t got round to it'(product creation) yet. I dont know what it is either lack of confidence or procrastination but one thing I have learned in all my experience to date is that you really should be making your products, in fact the very first time I spoke to John Thornhill on skype I asked him what is the best way to make a list. John’s answer – Create a product. I will bite the bullet soon and focus on creating a product as I have been really inspired by Brian Oliver’s product list building formula and his efforts to get the his business off the ground.

Hello Brian and John, how’s it going ?

Hope you are well.

This is a great post yet many newbie’s don’t even know about creating their own product, let alone setting any commission structure.

TIPS
____

1) You should always offer your affiliates maximum commissions, to attract more affiliates. You might lose money on this high commission sacrifice but it will pay off long term.

2) You should provide your affiliates a wide variety of tools such as banners, email swipe copies, blog posts, review copies etc. Spend some time and effort to create these.

3) Your front end product can be offered between $5 – $17 which works as a great front end price.

4) Do provide great value in your low ticket product, even if it takes you longer to create than expected.

5) Make sure your sales page converts to its highest maximum conversion by testing and tweaking the elements (headline, bullets, price point etc)

6) Create an attractive branded logo/image for yourself to use on your product, your website, your blog etc, so that you can be easily identified by website visitors.

7) Don’t include any leaks on your sales page (such as unnecessary links to pages), which will only distract the visitor = and will LOSE you a potential buyer. I only include a link to the PAYMENT link, and only that.

There is also a big learning curve to this so don’t give up but keep on going, and the correct commission structure to affiliates will work to your benefit long term to attract more affiliates and create your buyers list/

I could not agree more with this post.

Becoming a “good” product creator can produce challenges in any number of areas. I think the primary issue for many newbies is confidence.

I know! With some research, we will know more than our readers. Many newbies read that but don’t really believe it at first. At an unconscious level, they are still getting the message “who would want to read what I write?” Efforts in personal development need to go hand-in-hand with learning the basics of internet marketing.

good advice for the beginers. And I must admit that if I and you want to be successful enterpreneurs we must creat our own product! It is crucial.

And I’ve already bought your product Jonh how to create my own products, but I still procrastinate it. So it is time to hard work. I hope Product Development Control will help me.

This is an excellent guest post, thank you. I have always known that creating a product is one of most important steps to take on the way to success, but I didn’t really think about all of the different reasons why.

After reading all of the benefits here, it’s clear that creating your own product is probably the most important thing to focus on if you want to be a truly successful Internet Marketer!
