The last day of the month, and what a month it’s been. I am not going to do a ‘what I did today’ but recap on what I did this month. I actually didn’t do a lot today anyway…

So lets go back to my initial post that I made on the 1st and see what I have achieved.

I said I planned to launch 2 brand new products. Well I got one launched and because of a change of plan the 2nd product is about 2 weeks away. But anyone who can launch a product every month will succeed. So if you have it in you try to launch a new product every month, or at least always be working on a new product. But never more than one at a time as this will only slow you down.

I also said I would create numerous new websites. I have created the following websites this month.

http://www.planetsmsblog.com

http://www.sevenkeyelements.com

http://www.resalerightsblueprint.com (this is not complete yet)

http://www.planetsmshelpdesk.com

I said I would add about 10 new eBooks to my eBay inventory. I actually only managed 4, I have no excuses for not doing 10. My target is 10 every month but I don’t always reach this target. Usually to me being lazy.

I said I would promote about 5-10 products. This I did manage, In fact I promoted 6 products via Broadcast this month and another 4 were added to my autoresponder sequence, 2 of the promotions were Blog reviews and another 2 were permanent discount offers. The reason I reached this target is because this is how I earn most of my money. Yes, the money really is in the list and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I said I would submit about 4-8 articles to the article directories. I submitted 7 and my future plans are 2 every week. As my articles are ghostwritten and I use an article submission service this is not really work at all. But is very effective.

I said I would work on my existing websites. I actually never got most of what I planned to do in this department done. Unless you can call working on this Blog working on my existing website

I said I would write my newsletter. I managed to get that done yesterday.

I said I would outsource most of my work. This I did manage. I got all my articles ghostwritten, got graphics created for 7 Elements and Resale Rights Blueprint and had the sales copy for 7 Elements written. (Thanks Randy, I owe you one)

I said I would seek new JV partners. Again, this is something I did manage, I set up a couple of autoresponder JV’s with Lee McIntyre. Created an eBook with Randy Smith. Promoted various marketers products (who now owe me one and I have a product launching in 2 weeks ) And I also created an Earn Money section on the Blog.

Now remember when I said in my very first Blog post “I think you may be shocked by the end of the month but for now I wont say why.”

Well look at how much I have achieved this month? I have built my business so much. But I only usually work 4 days a week and for a couple of hours a day. Are you starting to understand the concept of ‘Do a Little Every Day to Build Your Business’? You have watched me build my business in real time this month and there is absolutely no reason why you can’t do the same.

Remember, if you do nothing you will achieve nothing. I am living proof of what you can achieve with a little action. The rest is up to you.

On closing I would like to thank every single person who has taken the time out of their lives to read and comment on what I have to say. I couldn’t do it without you so from the bottom of my heart thank you.

And don’t think this is the end of The PlanetSMS Blog, this is only the beginning

I have been running my newsletter for over 2 years now and it has proven to be highly successful. I tend not to use this as a promotion tool and do my best to help subscribers by distributing their viral eBooks and advertising their sites and products for free. I am a strong believer that if you give you will receive and I try to give as much as possible in my newsletter by providing as much valuable content as possible.

Do you have your own newsletter? If you are serious about building your online business this is something you should consider. Creating your own newsletter means you are seen as an expert in your field. It is also a good incentive to attract subscribers.

I also want to point out that the post I made on the Blog yesterday seemed to cause quite a stir. I would love you to share your comments. You can view yesterdays post here.

That’s it for today, tomorrow is the final day in ‘A Month In The Life Of’ so be sure to check it out.

I want to start todays post by thanking everyone for their comments last week. It was so nice to see so many people taking action. If this was not you you have no excuses, if you can find the time to read this Blog you can find the time to do some work. Remember, if you do nothing you will achieve nothing so do something today. And get into the habit of doing something each day.

So what have I done today? Actually as it’s Monday not a great deal. I have submitted another article and I have been working on my new project Resale Rights Blueprint. I had planned to launch this around the end of this month but I now know that will not happen as I am still working on the product.

Although it is finished as an eBook (this was the initial plan) I now want to make it into a full interactive multi media product with worksheets, video tutorials, audios and so on. I am going to break the product down into 7 workable days that anyone can follow. But I have put this on hold till the 1st of November as I wont have as much work to do on the Blog then and this means I can focus on getting the product right without any distractions. I also still have my newsletter to write for October and I plan to do that tomorrow, so once I get these tasks out of the way I can get started on completing Resale Rights Blueprint.

It is very important to stay focused on one product at a time and avoid any distractions and at the moment this Blog is a small distraction. Anyone who has read The 7 Key Elements Every Successful Marketer Follows will know what I’m talking about.

I also want to point out something that happened over the weekend that saw me make a lot of money on autopilot. I set Aweber to send an email out on Friday evening, (it was actually in the middle of the night here in the UK). The email was announcing the imminent price rise of Operation eBook. As you will know I promoted the eBook earlier on in the week. Here is the second email I sent out…

Subject: Time is running out {!firstname}

Hi {!firstname},

John Thornhill here.

You have just over 24 hours to get your hands on Operation eBook at
the discounted price.

http://www.operation-ebook.com

But is Operation eBook for you?

If you have created your own eBooks in the past and have no
problems when it comes to creating an eBook from start to finish
then this eBook may not be for you. There are still some real gems
of info and even if you are an experienced eBook creator I know you
will learn something.

However, this eBook is mainly aimed at anyone who has not yet
written an eBook or lacks the confidence to get it going. I assure
you that even if you can’t write, have terrible grammar or lack the
skills needed to create an eBook YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE AN
EBOOK if you follow the instructions in Operation eBook.

Listen! I have preached from day one that to be truly successful
online you need to be creating your own eBooks. As an example I
have 2 eBooks launching in October. I am living proof it works.

So do yourself a favor and check out Operation eBook. It could be
your most important purchase this year. And at the discounted price
it really is a steal. But hurry, the price goes up at midnight on
Sunday when the eBook officially launches, you have been warned.

http://www.operation-ebook.com

Until next time…

John

Did you note the call to action because of the imminent price rise? This is something we can’t help resist. I know I have bought products so many times in the past because the price was about to go up.

The email I sent above meant I sold around two thirds more than I did from the first email. So now you know why so many marketers tell you ‘the price is going up‘ or ‘time is running out‘. They do it because it works.

So next time you launch a product try and offer a launch discount. I assure you this will get you more sales.

I know when I launch Resale Rights Blueprint in a few weeks I will be doing something similar so watch this space.

So although I didn’t to a great deal today I still had a very successful weekend

Here we are again. Another day passes us by and I did two small things to build my business today. I submitted yet another article. You can view this here. My long term plans are two articles per week. Like I said before I don’t care what anyone says, article marketing works so if you are not doing it you need to be.

I also added another eBook to my eBay inventory. You can view this here. The eBook isn’t mine but has some of my branded links inside and I know once it’s ‘out there’ it will once again bring in money on autopilot.

So as you can see I actually didn’t do a great deal today but I know what I did do has once again built my business.

As we are coming to the end of the month are you starting to notice something?

I am doing nothing special, there is no real secret to what I do, it’s all about action. If I can give you any advice that means you can stop buying these $1000 courses and $97 eBooks it would be this.

Do something each day that builds your business.

That’s it, that’s the big secret. You can stop reading now… Goodnight…

But seriously. That is the ‘big secret’. It’s all about building and growing.

It doesn’t even have to be much, you have the blueprint right here in this Blog, you can see what I do and what I’m about. And let me tell you what I do works.

So now I’m going to turn things round, although there are not too many comments each day this Blog is getting up to a 1000 hits a day and sometimes more so I know you’re there

So what I want to know is what did you do to build your business today?

If you done something, anything, please comment.

Here we are again. Another day another dollar.

I actually have been a little lazy today, all I really did was submit another article and promote a product to my entire subscriber base. In fact you will have received the email from me a few hours ago. It’s actually not too often I promote to my whole subscriber base. However, this was a top quality product and also targeted to my main niche. So I am confident of generating quite a few sales.

I also used domain forwarding to promote this product. The original domain is www.operationebook.com so I bought the domain www.operation-ebook.com (note the hyphen-) and forwarded it to my affiliate link:
www.operationebook.com/john_thornhill_special.html as this helps disguise the affiliate link and makes my promotional email look better. You should also note the discount I managed to negotiate, something I have talked about in earlier Blog posts. This always helps with sales. However, not everything went to plan…

A little word of warning here. Test everything you do in Internet Explorer and Firefox as for the first 10-20 minutes I was doing things wrong and this resulted in Internet Explorer users being unable to purchase. Something to do with me using a framed re-direct and this resulted in the PayPal button not working in Internet Explorer (I don’t know so don’t ask). If this happened to you the links are fine now so feel free to check it out. Remember, just because something works in one browser does not mean it is guaranteed to work in another.

It was Dan Thompson who noticed this and pointed the problem out to me, it was just as well I was near my PC to get the email from him and correct things ASAP. If I wasn’t things could have been a lot worse. Lesson learned and it wont happen again.

You will also notice there is a deadline before the price of Operation eBook goes up. I plan to send a second email about 36 hours before the deadline ends. Doing this can actually result in more sales than the initial email that was sent out so bear this in mind when you are promoting a product with a deadline.

I may also do a review on this Blog after the price goes up and promote this via my autoresponder series. I know I will have to do something as I can’t let the domain I paid for go to waste

Wow, here we are into the 22nd day. This month has gone so fast and I must say while sometimes writing Blog updates takes up a lot of time I have really enjoyed what I have done so far. So don’t think for a minute this will stop once the month ends. I aim to make this Blog an excellent resource for anyone that takes the time to visit.

Once again the British weather was fantastic over the weekend. It’s as though our seasons have been reversed. While the Summer was one of the worst on record this month has to have been one of the best.

And I’m afraid because of the glorious weather I didn’t get home till almost 4pm today so this has not left much time for work. I never normally do much on a Monday anyway but I always like to do something, anything that sees me build my business. So here’s what I did.

I added another message to one of my autoresponder sequences. However this one is a little different. When I launched PlanetSMS Digital Mentorship Monthly I built an affiliate list, in fact this list is still growing. You can check out how I do this at http://www.mentorshipmonthly.com/affiliates/

If you are on the above list you will be receiving that message very soon and I have also added a similar message to the Blog, you can view it by clicking here. I have it timed to go out 14 days after you initially sign up so once again this is something that will run on autopilot and bring in new affiliates to my other websites and products.

I have learned building an affiliate list is extremely important. Remember what I said in my first post on the 1st of the month about looking after your affiliates. Well keeping in touch with them is also crucial. How else will they find out you have new or updated products that they could promote for you. So if you are not building an affiliate list now is the time to consider it. Just put an email capture form on any affiliate pages you have.

Today I spent all day adding promotions to my autoresponder sequences. I have added 6 products in total to around 15 different lists. This takes care of my autoresponder promotions for the next 20-50 days.

But what you need to remember is once again my work is done. Everyone on the various lists I have will eventually receive these promotions. This is another excellent feature of Aweber. You set your emails to go out at pre-determined intervals and Aweber takes care of the rest. In around a month’s time I will simply add more emails to the sequence so I can stay ahead.

I also added two products from Lee McIntyre to the sequence. If you remember last week I mentioned I would be doing this. Lee has done the same for me with 2 of my products and we will both make money for years from this for very little work indeed.

I also want to point out that you should now be noticing how important Aweber is to my online business. It is probably the most important business investment of my life. That is a pretty serious comment but if you are not building a mailing list you need to take a long look at what you want to achieve online. Building a mailing list is the single most important thing you need to be doing to build your business and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.

I have also added one of Lee’s products to the discount section of the Blog. Once again this should see me earn a decent affiliate income.

I’m afraid that’s it for this week. I’m going away till Monday so I will see you then. Remember that while I’m away my business will still be making money. It doesn’t get much better than that…

Todays post is a little early as I’m going to settle down to watch the football (soccer) match between England & Russia on TV. I have my junk food cooking and beers chilling as I type

So what did I do today? Well this is actually my 3rd post to the Blog today. I added a testimonial page for The 7 Key Elements Every Successful Marketer Follows

I’m doing this to gain social proof for the quality of the eBook. Someone saying how much they like a product always generates more sales. In fact over time I will add all testimonials I receive on the Blog to the home page of the eBook as I will be promoting the eBook via autoresponder series.

I also added the audio recordings I was talking about yesterday to the Blog. These can be found in the ‘Free Stuff’ section located in the top right corner. The audios were not well planned but do have some killer content. I would appreciate any comments (good or bad) you may have as I plan to do a lot more audios in the future.

I also submitted another article today. I did plan to do this on Monday but was so busy with the new eBook I forgot. Even though there was a reminder on my whiteboard. I must remember to look at it more often…

Anyway, that’s it for today, see you tomorrow.

And what a day it’s been

Sales of Seven Key Elements Every Successful Marketer Follows are flying off the virtual shelves. I would like to thank Randy for his patience over the last few days and also for all the work he has put in making this eBook the success I already know it has become. Let me say this, if you need any copywriting services check Randy out at www.yourcopysmith.com

I am looking for testimonials so if you have already bought the eBook and wish to comment please feel free. I will be using some in an email that will go out tomorrow. However, please don’t mention the bonus as it would then no longer be a mystery bonus

Now you probably think that all I did today was concentrate on the launch. Well as Randy and I set everything up yesterday all I had to do was add a PayPal button to the site at the launch time. So I actually had a lot of time on my hands today.

So I made arrangements with my support manager Daniel to create an audio product. All I did was go to his house and record an informal chat we had today. We basically just talked about eBay, eBooks and Internet Marketing in general and have managed to record 80 minutes worth of killer content. When I think back we basically just sat in Daniel’s house for a few hours, drank lots of tea and talked. And the end result is a great info product. I know we could sell it but while we actually didn’t know what we were going to do with it as we were recording we have finally decided to give it away 100% free. More on this over the coming days.

That’s it for today I’m afraid. please remember the testimonials if you got any value from the eBook
