I mean just take a look at the latest WSO I have running.

This is a $5 product that’s making all this money, who would have thought it?

After running a few WSO’s there are a few things I have noticed and a few things you must do if you want to make your WSO a success.

First of all your WSO must be outstanding value. My last WSO was 12 months worth of training for only $5, the usual price was 12 monthly payments of $47. You’d think I was crazy to do this but I’ve made more from the $5 offer than the $47pm offer. So make sure you provide outstanding value with anything you put together. I have also found $5 to be the magic price point so if you can come up with a $5 offer with an upsell (more on upsells later) you are onto a winner. Great WSO’s are usually:-

• Heavily discounted products. (Look at your existing products)
• New methods or secrets.
• Easy to follow guides.
• Action plans. (Step by step)
• Services such as copywriting or traffic generation.
• Software, plugins, automation tools, etc.
• Simple $5 reports. (Anyone can do this)

Basically if you can come up with something that will help others then it can be turned into a successful WSO.

Affiliate your WSO. To make your WSO truly successful requires the efforts of others. While you will make sales from the Warrior Forum traffic the key is to get affiliates on board so make sure your WSO has an affiliate program. Also make sure you create an effective affiliates page. You can see one of mine for ideas here. Your affiliate program can be an in house program or even ClickBank, there is also WSO Pro which is a highly popular tool that integrates with the Warrior Forum and it is very very effective, it also uses PayPal and pays affiliates instantly so it makes promoting products attractive for affiliates as they know they will be paid right away.

One thing I am still not too sure of is the fact WSO Pro uses a split payment system, meaning that PayPal payments are split between the affiliate and vendor, so in effect you can receive a payment for someone else’s product. I am yet to be convinced this is a safe thing to do with PayPal so for now I’ve been using my own in house program and ClickBank, however WSO Pro is so attractive I may consider it with a future WSO.

Sidenote! I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on Split Pay and if it’s ever caused you any problems so if you have anything to add to this please leave a comment.

Have an upsell. If you have a low priced frontend offer most of the money will be made on the backend, with my latest WSO I offer a $97 and then a $67 product after the initial purchase. Also having an upsell attracts more affiliates as they know there is the potential to earn more than just the frontend sale. BTW, you must reward affiliates for any upsells you sell after the initial offer.

Upsells can be enhanced versions of your frontend offer, a collection of existing products, a monthly membership service (affiliates love recurring commissions) or even resale/PLR rights to the frontend product.

Make sure you build a list from your WSO as this is the ultimate buyers list. WSO buyers are generally people who want to succeed and are willing to pay to do so. If you can build a list of Warrior Forum buyers then you are building a list that can go on to reward you well into the future. One piece of advice here, if you are forcing people to opt-in to receive their purchase, say so on your sales page. I personally never force my customers to opt-in. I let them choose to register for updates and most do.

If I can leave you with any advice it is this. WSO’s are a fantastic way to make money and if it’s something you aren’t doing, I’d advise you to start now. I have many more WSO’s planned, and I’m also working on a ‘How to Succeed With WSO’s’ product, more on this at a later date.

As you probably know this week I ran a Firesale, if you missed it you can check it out here, the sale is over but you can still see the sales page to see what I did. The sale was a huge success and generated over $20,000 in sales, not bad for simply selling a few of my existing products at a discount. In this blog post I’m going to share some tips with you that will hopefully help if you ever decide to do something similar.

First of all I am not claiming to be a Firesale expert, in fact I had never ran a Firesale before and now it’s over I know I made a few mistakes. The main mistake I made was not notifying affiliates sooner. I only let my affiliates know 24 hours before launch, this is really short notice as most affiliates will have promos marked out up to 2 months in advance. I still got quite a few affiliates to promote but I know I could have had more if I had mentioned it sooner.

Another mistake I made was not warming up my own subscribers before launch. I actually never mentioned this sale to my subscribers before the site went live. Looking back I should have maybe sent a couple of pre-launch emails out. Maybe explaining what I was going to do. So if you ever do something like this notify your affiliates and subscribers sooner and you should see better results.

Now I may have made a few mistakes but I know I got a few things right. In fact the biggest thing I got right was adding an affiliate program in the first place. I initially wasn’t going to do this but at the last minute and with the advice of Dave Nicholson I decided to get affiliates on board. This resulted in a ton of sales generated by affiliates (thanks for the advice Dave). I also told all affiliates they would be paid on Friday (today) and I know this appealed to a lot of affiliates. After all we all like to get paid promptly when we promote a product so I decided to pay out as soon as the sale was over. I got round this by not offering a refund on the sale itself. Whether this was the right thing to do I don’t know but I don’t think many people would have refunded anyway as the value was so great.

And this brings me on to the next thing I feel I got right. I piled on the value, not only did I offer almost all of my products for one low price, I also offered extra material such as consultations, business reviews and more. The reason I did this was because I realised a lot of people would have already bought some of the products on offer so I wanted to offer something extra to tempt these people and it seemed to work.

Now, you would have thought anyone who had paid the full price for any of the products on offer would have complained about the price and the fact they paid the full price. This was a major concern for me and it almost stopped me doing the sale altogether but I thought to myself that if anyone complains I will offer them an additional product or two, guess how many complaints I had? None! Yes, not one person complained, this actually surprised me. In fact I received a ton of emails from people thanking me for making such an offer. I did have a few queries from people who had already bought some of my products and I just offered something extra. So if you have ever had any doubts about doing this because of fear of complaints don’t worry about it. Your subscribers will thank you!

So what else do I feel I got right? Well I think the fact I gave the sale a name was a major plus point. It’s no use saying, “I’m having a sale, here it is” is it? You need to make an impact with your sale, so give it a name, a name such as ‘Bob’s Birthday Bonanza’ or Steve’s Summer Spectacular’, you get the idea. Then get a domain name to correspond with the name of the sale and get some graphics created. This will give you a template to work from.

Then list all of your products for sale and link to each product sales page individually, let the visitor see what each product costs and make sure you put the cost of each product on your page and add a total at the end. As you can see the total value of the products offered in my sale was $6673, not bad for a $97 investment.

Next, limit the sale, if you limit the time on your sale you will see better results. However, when you say it ends take it down or you will be seen as someone who can’t be trusted. My sale ended the second I said it was going to and now its over and no one else can get in. Now what do you think that did to people who knew the sale was about to end? Well let me tell you most of my sales were made in the last 24 hours, need I say any more? In fact look around you in the ‘real world’ and see how many companies are having a sale just for the Easter Weekend, how much money do you think they will make as a result of this. I bet DFS have a sale on this weekend (For our international visitors DFS are a sofa company who always seem to have a sale on)

Don’t be afraid to mail often, at least on a daily basis, make sure you keep your subscribers informed about what’s going on, be sure to remind them how much time is remaining, especially as your sale comes to an end. I would also advise you warm your prospects up with some pre launch emails, remember the mistake I made by not doing this?

Add a countdown timer as the sale comes to an end. When there were 36 hours remaining I added a countdown timer and I know this had a dramatic effect, especially in the closing hours, it also help’s people see when your sale ends as things can get confusing with people viewing your page from different time zones. There are a ton of countdown timers available online so they are not hard to find.

And that’s about it really; if you already have products under your belt you should have no problems, remember the key areas to cover.

• Give your sale a catchy name and get a dedicated domain and graphics
• Pile on the value
• Use an affiliate program and notify affiliates early
• Have a pre launch period to warm your prospects up
• Make sure you add up the total value of your sale and let the prospect know how much they’ll be saving
• Add additional material such as personal support & 1 on 1 consultations
• Pile on the value
• Add a countdown timer as the sale ends
• Mail often, at least on a daily basis
• When your sale comes to an end take down the payment button promptly
• Remember! Pile on the value

Now remember, I am no expert and like I have already said I made mistakes, but I’m sure if you do some more research and add your own selling experience to your sale there is no reason why you can’t see incredible success with your very own Firesale. Now if you have tried any AdWords campaigns you will know this is a tough game to get into and it is very very hard to turn a profit. But the most important thing you need to remember is someone searching Google or any other search engine is not always looking to buy something. Their credit card is still firmly stuck in their wallet.

Now let me ask you what someone searching eBay is looking for?

Someone searching eBay is looking to buy something. And let me tell you that many marketers still criminally underestimate eBay and the fact that someone searching eBay is looking to buy something. Let me repeat that.

And eBay makes it so easy. You browse, see something you like. Click two buttons and it’s yours. Click two more buttons and it’s paid for. Can you see how easy it is to spend money on eBay? In fact ask yourself how many times you have browsed eBay and bought something on impulse. And this is how you can generate an easy affiliate income.

So let me give you an example how you can generate an affiliate income using the weight loss niche and resale rights eBooks.

Bob is looking to lose weight, he browses eBay looking for something to help. Perhaps he is thinking of buying some gym equipment. Someone in this position is probably ready to spend a few hundred dollars (Very Important). So let’s look at the results that come up on eBay from searching for ‘lose weight’. Click the image below.

If Bob sees an eBook for a few dollars do you think he will buy it? Well let me tell you it is highly possible. And if you were promoting a weight loss product this would be an excellent way to generate an affiliate income.

So Bob buys your resale rights eBook for a few dollars. Now he is on your eBook download page. And while Bob is on your download page he is getting offered the ultimate in weight loss products. Products such as Turbulence Training.

The sales copy is so powerful Bob simply can’t resist, he has just made one purchase so he is in ‘impulse’ mode. So he buys Turbulence Training. And you have just received a commission.

And this whole process started because Bob found a resale rights eBook on eBay.

And let me tell you selling information on eBay is probably the fastest way to start making money online. You could take an eBook and put it on eBay and in a matter of hours you could be making money. Why pay silly money for AdWords clicks when you can use eBay to drive qualified buyers (not information seekers) to your download pages.

Let me show you step by step how you can do this.

Step 1.  Identify a niche to promote. Now I could make this highly complicated and talk about keyword research and a ton of other things but the real truth is the ClickBank Marketplace can provide you with all the information you need.
