Here we go again, another year is over and we will probably look back at 2011 to see how it went and look forward to 2012 to plan they year ahead. So now I am going to tell you how 2011 went for me and what my plans are for 2012.
In 2011 I released a record number of products and in 2012 I plan to release even more.
You will see me release at least one new product each month in 2012 and I will actually release three new products in January alone, and if you wish you can quote me on that because two of these products are complete, I just need to fit the time in to launch them, it’s a nice problem to have though
If you have been a subscriber or blog reader of mine for any amount of time you will know product creation is something I have always preached from day 1, I keep putting buy buttons in front of people because it keeps making me money. It’s not rocket science but yet it’s still something most people haven’t done. Most people will simply look for alternative ‘push button’ methods or quick fix solutions. You’ve probably heard me talk about this till I’m blue in the face and you may think “that’s nothing new John”, well guess what? What I do isn’t new, in fact I still do the same thing I’ve done since 2004, I create and sell information products, the only thing that has changed is the type of information in the products I sell and the fact I use video more than anything else to deliver my information.
So here’s my first prediction for 2012, nothing has really changed in the last 7 years and won’t change, people will always crave information and it’s our job to provide it.
2011 Was The Year of The WSO But Will it Last?
2011 was the year of the Warrior Special Offer and although WSO’s have been around for years 2011 saw an explosion in this area, and my prediction for 2012 is they will continue to be just as popular and in fact become even more popular, after all it’s just people selling information to people who crave it so nothing will change there as more and more marketers are realizing that creating and selling products on the Warrior Forum really can be a very lucrative way to sell information.
What I do predict will change though, is the way people choose to sell their WSO’s. I feel a lot of people will suffer at the hands of PayPal and choose other methods of payment and running the affiliate side of things. I really feel a big bubble is about to burst so remember where you read it first.
2012 will also see me launch my most comprehensive coaching program ever. I have launched many programs over the years but I am currently putting together a 12 month program that will enable anyone who wants me as their mentor to achieve success in 2012 and I expect to launch this around the end of January. More in this in a couple of weeks time.
So as you can see my predictions are nothing really groundbreaking are they? The reason is because while the Internet is moving forward so fast the fundamentals will always be the same. People go online every day to search for one thing, information! Never forget that, I had a record year in 2011 simply because I worked on what I know works and I plan to work on it even more in 2012 by releasing more products than ever.
Hopefully this blog post will make you realize that product creation is the way forward, once you get that, success really is almost guaranteed.
So set your sights on creating as many info products as possible in 2012 and I’ll meet you at the bank.

December 30, 2011Hi John,
I couldn’t agree more with you on creating products.
Not 3/4 weeks ago you kindly give me a testimonial for a product I had created and as of typing up a reply here now on your blog post…I’ve just finished another – may send you an email to have a look if that’s OK!
I wish you all the best for 2012 and look forward to seeing if your predictions come true ;),
All the best,
Eamon.

December 31, 2011Sure Eamon, let me see it.
Keep those products coming

December 30, 2011Great post John! I believe you are totally right about your predictions. You have been a great mentor and definitely walk-the-talk and lead by example. I am curious if your new 2012 training course will be available at a reduced price for previous class members wanting to join for a refresher plus your new material?
I have a lot of things tied up in PayPal, and so, I would love to here a little more detail on your thoughts about PayPal. Any predictions on what will fill the void left by people not using PayPal? All the best!

December 30, 2011Hi John,
It’s amazing how simple the best solutions are. If you want to make money online then sell information about something that you know about.
If you have not made any money online then don’t make a product about how to make money online – the classic mistake.
All the best for 2012 and keep on sharing quality information.
Andrew

December 31, 2011That is very true Andrew, also though I think I should point out that just because you haven’t earned anything yet doesn’t mean you can’t create an info product as this is what stops a lot of people. Sometimes a simple product teaching people how to avoid mistakes or perhaps a simple traffic guide could easily be turned into an info product.
I also know that someone who hadn’t yet earned much online that created a simple Kindle guide showing how to list products on the Kindle Marketplace, that product went on to sell thousands of copies so it can be done.

December 30, 2011Happy New Year to your and your family John.
Yes, product creation is where the real money is online. My plan is to release one nee product every month via WSO. My product for January is completed already…working on a second.
I would love for your to expand on your prediction of changes with WSO’s, and PayPal. Maybe in another blog post.
Best of luck to you in 2012.

December 30, 2011As Andrew has said,
“It’s amazing how simple the best solutions are. If you want to make money online then sell information about something that you know about.
If you have not made any money online then don’t make a product about how to make money online – the classic mistake.”
After watching just about every Thomas the Tank Engine episode ever made with my young son I am sure I could make a very impressive information product about Thomas and his friends
though I doubt anyone would want to buy it especially anyone on the Warrior Forum.
That brings me to the point of this post, yes I think we can all see that there is money to be made making information products and selling them via WSO’s however they must be relevant to the people buying them and the people that frequent the Warrior Forum, in other words Internet Marketers and people that want to make money online.
The problem a lot of people if not most have is they either haven’t made any money online or very little and think they don’t know enough to make an information product.
The fact is anyone can make a WSO simply by taking say half a dozen previous WSO’s picking out the best bits from each of them then rewriting perhaps adding a new twist here and there prepackaging and BINGO a new best selling WSO is born.
I actually started to write one going on my own experiences starting with all the things I tried that didn’t wok progressing through how I made my first money and what I am doing now.
It’s still not finished and probably never will be as its turned into more of a private diary not only that but I have realized I really don’t want to share what is working for me now as it could have an impact on my own earnings.
So should I be selfish and turn it into a WSO leaving out the best bits and the the bits I don’t want to share which doesn’t seem fair to me and a bit unethical, or follow my own advice and rewrite what I have learned from previous WSO’s which would contain solid tested information that works then package it into a workable plan or system so somebody who has never made a penny online could actually get started.
OK that was a rhetorical question and I don’t expect a reply the answer is the second option……………… or both.
The best advice I can give to anyone and what worked for me is the most important thing to do even before making a product or building a list is to do something.
DO SOMETHING NOW, GET STARTED NOW, STOP PROCRASTINATING NOW.
It doesn’t really matter what you do as long as you do something force yourself to do something every day, keep moving forward make a plan have a goal and eventually you will get there.
I feel I’ve rambled on a bit and I only intended to say Happy New Year to John so I’ll say it now,
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY and John

For the record Alan I hold nothing back, never have, never will.
In most situations if you find a way to make money you will make even more money selling the information and only in extreme circumstances would a market become saturated. Of course you may know something you really don’t want to share but I’d bet you’d earn more by sharing via a well put together info product.

December 30, 2011Happy New Year, John!
I have 2 products that I want to create this year, but I am worried since I have never launched anything before….quite frankly I am SCARED!!
So, any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
About Paypal – I guess they are soon going to be banning us from selling this type of thing? Or you are predicting something else?
Good luck with all your products – I know they will be just as awesome as the last ones you have done.

December 31, 2011Hi Linda,
If you need any help/advice get in touch via my support desk and I’ll see what I can do.
Regarding PayPal, it’s not the products but the way some affiliate programs are set up that can cause an issue. Also note that this is just my opinion. I could be wrong but I have seen problems that could cause major issues with PayPal. Maybe I’ll cover this in a future blog post.
Hope this helps.

December 31, 2011Hi John,
Thanks for the great post. I have recently received some good ebooks with MRR and am using the video you created on your Multi Profit Monthly site with Dave on how to edit an ebook, create a new cover and sell it for Kindle, or Clickbank for 2012.
Thanks and happy new year,
Ken

December 31, 2011Hi John
Thank you for the predictions.
I would like ask you something now.
As everyone saying that creating the info products is always profitable.BUT what I feel is like
what products should i create ?
The internet is full of info products and it seems like there is nothing to create another new product and more over every one is inundated with information overload problems and if we create something new products again ..
Is there any chance that will sell ?
Dan Sumner
December 31, 2011Well done mate, well you know that already 😀 You have had a very productive year and by capitalizing so fast on the WSO you did very very well (I sound like a school teacher lol).
Why break the model of a lifetime JT if it’s working for you. I look forward to our product launch in the new year, so I recon I will be paying you a visit in the first week to get everything finalized.
Have a great New Year to you and yours and I will see you soon.

December 31, 2011Well that was short and sweet John
Very much on point though…..
Coming from a sales background wht you said is very similar to something I’ve always quoted….
“There’s nothing new in selling – Just different packaging!” – and it’s been that way for thousands of years!
Anyways – have a great new year mate.
And hey – have you noticed your Alexa rank!!… we used to be very close to each other – but I figured I’d best get yet another backlink from your site as you’ve easily broken the 100K mark and are now at 78,091
Nice one mate

December 31, 2011Hi John,
Interesting predictions which I can see coming true. I have also heard the Paypal horror stories which is why I chose an alternative affiliate program for my wso.
Thanks for all your help and encouragement during 2011 and I will always be very grateful for the visit to your office. I learned a lot, although I made a few disastrous rookie errors.
One question remains though: how the hell do you come up with so many ideas for new products??? I don’t mean rewriting PLR but NEW products. Your brainstorming process would be interesting to see.
All the best John for 2012 and I will be very interested to hear the details of your new coaching.
Best wishes,
David

January 1, 2012Hi John
Looks like a lot of us are into new product creation in 2012! Mine is well under way amd have plans for 2 more.
Must get back to the coaching programme, things keep getting in the way. I need to change my coaching blog theme to this one and then perhaps I will be happier working on it. It has been sadly neglected.
Have a few questions for you about the training so must get around to it.
Happy 2012 to you and your family.

January 1, 2012John,
I think you are right that information products are where it is at. More and more we are a society that craves information.
I am writing my first eBook and being really slow at it. My goal for 2012 is to finish that eBook and move on to another information product.
I think the first time that I do anything it seems very overwhelming so I drag my feet. If I would just get this done then it would free me up to move on to other products.
Have a great year in 2012.

January 2, 2012Thanks John, for good information, encouragement and generosity. Best wishes for the coming year. I look forward to reading a blog post about affiliate programmes and problems with PayPal. Regards, Anne
[…] me things are pretty much going to plan. I mentioned in this blog post in late December 2011 that I planned to launch 3 products in January alone and I am still on course […]
